It’s that time of the year again…are you ready for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale??
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the most anticipated sales of the year. It’s a pretty big deal! Although Nordstrom is a luxury department store, there are plenty of ways that you can shop their items even if you’re on a budget.
The Anniversary Sale is the perfect opportunity to score the higher price goodies you’ve been eyeing at a much better price. You can even score some new arrival items at the sale. I’m going to walk you through the best way to do this and prepare for the “it” sale of the year!
Add Items to Your Wish List Early
Last year, I wasn’t able to grab many of the items that I wanted simply because they were sold out before I could check out! Luckily, Nordstrom has made it easier for us to plan this year by allowing a preview of the sale for everyone but there’s still some planning to be done. If you add items to your wish list beforehand, you can just add them to your cart and checkout when the sale opens up. Life saver! Trust me, items sell out in minutes.
Consider the Nordstrom Credit Card
Having a Nordstrom credit card is the key to shopping the Anniversary Sale early. Nordstrom allows their cardholders to shop the sale earlier than everyone else. Depending on your cardholder status, you can shop it even earlier than general cardholders! If it’s a reasonable decision for you, I would highly recommend getting the card since it offers great perks year-round. Side note: I personally do not have a Nordstrom credit card at this time, so I will be shopping on August 19. The Nordy card is pretty handy, but it is NOT required to shop the sale.
Shop for the Upcoming Season
When big sales like these come up, there are two ways that I like to shop to get the most out of them. One way is to shop for the upcoming season to get more wear from the pieces. In this case, it would be for the fall and winter seasons! What’s better than oversized sweaters, cardigans, and booties? Ahh! Nordstrom has the CUTEST fall pieces. I put together some picks in case you wanted to shop them yourself!
Shop for All Season Items
When sales like these come around, it’s a great idea to keep an eye out for items that you can wear year-round. For me, this includes items like basic tees to wear alone in the hotter temps or under cardigans for the fall/winter, certain style booties, loungewear, etc. Nordstrom has lots of these options to look out for! Lots of people use the sale to snag statement pieces, but getting your better quality basics that will last a looong time at a lower price is a huge plus too!
