So what is this serum exactly? In Kiehl’s own words, this is a “collagen plumping serum powered by recombinant collagen polypeptides and vitamin B12, clinically backed for firmer, plump, more radiant-looking skin”. I’ve trusted Kiehl’s skincare products for many years. So it was natural that they were the first brand I thought of to help improve the elasticity loss that I was seeing in my cheek area from weight fluctuation. As a person with sensitive skin, my main concerns were obviously will this work and also is it fragrance free or will it cause my skin to breakout?
Upon opening, the packaging is very sturdy; the serum is contained in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. And random, I love the pink bottle color! I have the 30 ml size; the serum is also available in 50 ml. So the first impression definitely passed with flying colors. I really love that Kiehl’s inserts on the packaging exactly what the product does so anyone can pick it up and see what they are getting.

Fair warning to my fellow sensitive skin friends, the serum does have a very light smell. My rule of thumb is if a skincare or makeup product has a distinct or harsh smell/fragrance, I will most likely pass on trying it. However, if it is light, I give it a week of consistent use to see how my skin reacts.
My week’s trial of the serum did not disappoint! I applied two pumps to my face and neck morning and night daily as directed. Not sure what I was expecting but I kid you not, people have been saying that my skin is glowing! Within a week (A WEEK), I could visibly see a more hydrated, glowy look to my skin and my problem cheek area was actually plumper! Talk about the key to a more youthful appearance.

Since the first week, I have used this serum every single day and have a refill waiting. It makes your skin feel amazing and now it doesn’t feel right to put my moisturizer on without it. If you want to start with the 30 ml size, the two pumps do go a long way so don’t let the smaller size deter you. Overall, I’m keeping this one in rotation so I can safely recommend it to you.
